Our Methods

We use Process Mapping to help develop and implement management systems. This highly specialised area of expertise includes research and cross referencing of your relevant corporate/project processes and systems, preparation of hardcopy and electronic documents, creation of templates, and delivery to internet or intranet. A Process Map, or Flowchart (see Fig 1), graphically presents the sequence of activities (tasks) involved in a process or procedure. It indicates who is responsible for each activity and in what order activities should take place. It also identifies decisions that must be made and who will make them. And finally, it clearly shows approvals and signatures required and who is responsible for giving them. In addition, the process map lists the system tools that are used, such as spreadsheets and databases, and makes reference to related documents including forms and work instructions.

For Business:

In Business environments we start with mapping the existing processes, capturing the knowledge that is there and utilizing the existing internal expertise. Next we identify gaps and overlaps and adjust or optimise the processes accordingly. Once finalised the Process Map or Flowchart becomes the heart of a controlled procedure document to be published for distribution as part of the Procedures Manual. The complete set of policies, processes, procedures & work instructions form the Management System.

For Projects:

In a project environment we identify the areas that require controlled processes and develop the procedures accordingly in line with the Project Charter. We have long standing and extensive expertise in the development of Project Management Systems, in particular for the Resources Industries.
